À Nossa was not born in a boardroom nor a business plan, but in the sharing of a bottle of wine with friends old and new. Its spark was a profound connection to Portuguese history, its people, and the stories that flow as freely as wine itself. As an Arab-American, Sosan Madanat found something poetic in the shared history between Arab and Portuguese culture – the bond woven between the two produced an undeniable sense of place. This connection, steeped in centuries of exchange, became a deep well of inspiration.

Sosan’s partner José Luís Silva, deeply embedded in Portugal’s hospitality and wine tourism industries, brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and love for the land. Together, they envision a space where travellers could experience Portugal as part of its rich, living history. Having been embraced by the country she now calls home with warmth and beauty, she feels compelled to offer others the same. Born from the shared joy of hospitality and the desire to bridge worlds, the vision is simple: a space where guests always feel as if they’ve just arrived home.
